2024 Edgar Award Nominees

Mystery Writers of America Edgar AwardsEvery year, on or near Edgar Allan Poe’s birthday, the Mystery Writers of America announce nominees for its annual Edgar Allan Poe Awards.

The awards honor the best in mystery fiction, nonfiction and television published or produced during the prior calendar year.

Below are the 2024 Edgar Award nominees  by category. The announcement celebrates the famed mystery writer’s 215th birthday.

Winners will be announced on May 1, so you still have time to read the nominees and pick your own favorites in each category.
